Drop-off

Nursery and Reception parents may bring their child into school. Parents of older children are required to drop off their child at the main school gates on Schoolfield Road or the gates at Flint Street where they will be received by a member of staff. Children will be allowed to enter the school site from 8.40am. Children are not permitted to arrive at school before 8.30am as the gates are not supervised. All children must arrive at school by 8.50am as lessons begin at 8.50am.

Late Arrivals

Any child arriving after 8.50 am will need to enter school from the front gates in Schoolfield Road. Such children will be marked 'late' and parents will be asked to complete a ‘Late Arrival Slip’.

Getting to School

We recommend that you and your child walk to and from school. There are many benefits to walking; it is healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road-users and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations.

Cycling and Scooting to School

We have facilities to store bicycles and scooters at the front of the school on Schoolfield Road. Please make sure that when storing bicycles and scooters they are locked securely. We do not take responsibility for leaving bicycles or scooters on our premises. Children in Reception to Year 5 are only permitted to cycle to school if accompanied by an adult.

Parking and Safety

If you do need to travel by car, please consider pupil safety when driving in the surrounding areas of the school. Please show consideration of others when parking your car, both to other parents and the school’s neighbours. Please do not park in front of the emergency access gates or in resident parking bays.

Parents are not permitted entry into the staff car park.

Please note: No dogs, except guide dogs, are permitted on the school grounds.
